Theme: Reviving Motherhood as a Vocation — A Call from God

What does this year’s theme invite you to explore?

  1. How has motherhood changed over time?
  2. What do mothers really do, both inside and outside the home?
  3. What actually makes a good mother good?
  4. What can today’s moms learn from Our Blessed Mother?
  5. How can parish communities better support new mothers?

Contest Overview

CatholicMomsGroup.com , faith partner with the Archdiocese of Toronto is thrilled to announce the first-ever Mother’s Day Video Contest — and you’re invited to be part of it! We welcome moms and their families, parish based Catholic Moms Groups, as well as parish-based Youth Groups, to share their voice and vision in a short, creative video.

This year’s theme, “Reviving Motherhood as a Vocation: A Call from God”, invites you to reflect deeply on the spiritual and practical realities of modern motherhood. Explore how the role of a mother has changed, what the vocation of motherhood really means, and how Catholic moms are called to live differently — with purpose, prayer, and faith.

Whether you’re a busy mom juggling work and home life, a teenager watching your mother’s example, or a youth group leader inspired by the Blessed Mother, this contest is your chance to show the world what Catholic motherhood truly looks like today.

We challenge you to explore how:

  • The Catholic mom differs from the secular mom.
  • Faith and the sacraments can transform motherhood.
  • Fellowship and support from other Catholic moms can change a family’s life.
  • Our Blessed Mother remains relevant, powerful, and present in the life of every mom.

Include real stories, humor, generational wisdom (hello, Nonna!), and maybe even a newsroom-style “Breaking News” on how motherhood is evolving. Be creative, be bold, and don’t be afraid to make us laugh—or cry.
