What We Do
We act as a catalyst, guide, and mentor to parishes
We act as a catalyst, guide, and mentor to parishes wishing to launch a Catholic mother’s ministry to support the moms in their community. So far, we’ve helped launch over 40 Mother’s Groups in the Archdiocese of Toronto, as well as in parishes in Blairsville, Georgia, Angola, Indiana, not to mention, Timbuktoo.
How do we help? We help moms get the approval of their pastor to start a mother’s group. We help parishes find moms to lead the group. We provide a Mother’s Group Starter Kit that includes everything you need to get started and run a mother’s ministry! We have authentic Catholic materials for groups to use during meetings. Our Mother’s Group Starter Kit includes a beautiful, full colour, magazine style study guide with detailed plans for over 52 Mother’s Group meetups. Everything is clearly laid out in each meeting plan. On top of that the kit includes DVD’s with a discussion guide for an additional 13 meetups (on topics that interest mothers). We promise, you will never be short of solid Catholic content for you Mother’s Group.
Our kit also includes promotional materials like posters, cards, newsletters, forms, signs, postcards, invitations, prayers, books and bookmarks. We have an optional automated service that sends email reminders to group members about upcoming meetings. If you are interested in starting a Catholic Moms Group, we are your go-to resource!
Do all meetings have the same format? No, they don’t. One size does not fit all. We don’t dictate how every mother’s group is run. We act as a support partner to help parishes create a meeting style that works for them. Over the years we have seen it all. We’re happy to help you create a ministry that fits your parish community. Flexibility is an important part of everything we do.
Do we have the permission of the bishop? Definitely! We have a formal partnership with the Archdiocese of Toronto and we are featured on their web site. We have enjoyed the ongoing support and prayers of Thomas Cardinal Collins who presides over the archdiocese.
Do we work with all Catholic parishes? Yes, we do. We work with parishes all over the world. Our materials and videos are currently limited to the English language, but we plan to add additional languages as time progresses. If your parish operates in English, we would love to have you as part of our community.
How do I get started? It’s easy, If you fill out this form here: https://www.catholicmomsgroup.com/start-here/ … it will give us an opportunity to get to know you. We can then follow up with you, set up a phone call or send you our “Getting Started” email which will explain everything you need to know.
Can I learn from experienced group leaders? Yes, you can. We are very much a community. One of the greatest blessings of this ministry is meeting some of the most amazing, faith-filled, loving women you will ever find. They are truly a blessing to everyone they encounter.
This ministry exists for you! Catholic moms face so many challenges raising their children in faith. Having the opportunity to share experiences with like-minded moms is so valuable. The testimonials we get from our moms easily bring a tear to the eye.
If you’d like to be a part of our community, please reach out and email us. We’d love to hear from you!
